TUESDAY DECEMBER 18th | Local Author Reading

Jason Arias & Samuel Snoek-Brown

‪6:00 – 7:00pm

Jason Arias will be reading from the short story collection Momentary Illumination of Objects In Motion. This book tells stories of life and death, identity and race, change and resistance to change.

Jason Arias’ lives and works in Portland, OR. His writing has appeared in multiple magazines, anthologies, and Lidia Yuknavitch’s The Misfit’s Manifesto. His debut short story collection Momentary Illumination of Objects In Motion was released October 1st by Black Bomb Books.

Sam Snoek-Brown will be reading from his story collection There Is No Other Way to Worship Them. It’s an eerie, mesmerizing collection of short stories set in Mexico and Texas. Each of the collection’s nine stories are woven together with themes of violence, mysticism and failures in the pursuit of love.

DID YOU KNOW?
Books Around the Corner will be starting a book club in January! If you are interested in our book club email us at: info@booksaroundthecorner.com. We are going to send out a few dates to see what works for people and will do multiple sessions depending on how many people are interested! You bring the book you are reading or that you have recently read and discuss! This is a wonderful way to expose yourself to new books in genres you may have not otherwise explored.
